Marvel Fusion Welcomes Puja Gupta as Executive Vice President to Lead U.S. Operations

Marvel Fusion, the global leader in laser fusion, is delighted to announce the appointment of Ms. Puja Gupta as Executive Vice President of Marvel Fusion Inc. Effective July 1, 2025, she will join Marvel Fusion’s leadership team, taking charge of U.S. operations and playing a key role in advancing the company’s US strategy and execution.

Ms. Gupta brings two decades of experience at the intersection of technology, strategy, and business development, with a particular focus on nuclear fusion and fission technologies. Most recently, as Deputy Director of Business Development at General Atomics Global Corporation, she led key international nuclear initiatives and government partnerships. Her technical expertise, supported by a Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, positions her as a dynamic leader for Marvel Fusion’s U.S. expansion.

In March 2024, Marvel Fusion and Colorado State University (CSU) launched a public‑private partnership to build a $150 million petawatt-scale laser technology demonstrator on CSU’s Foothills Campus, set to become operational in early 2027. This cutting‑edge facility will further promote CSU as an international hub for inertial fusion energy research. Demonstrating the technology under powerplant-compatible conditions marks a major milestone for Marvel Fusion’s commercial fusion strategy. The Colorado ecosystem is enhanced by the U.S. Department of Energy (DoE) funded RISE hub, a collaborative effort to push add-on technologies in optics and targets.

Puja Gupta’s addition to the team marks a pivotal moment for Marvel Fusion as it intensifies its collaboration with CSU and the State of Colorado.
